Register your interest in future opportunities

The Composites Company Plymouth is not currently recruiting for a specific vacancy. However, as our capacity and project requirements grow, we want to build relationships with skilled contractors, trainees and specialist businesses that may be interested in working with us.

Registering your interest allows us to contact you when suitable work becomes available. This is not an offer or guarantee of work, but it is an opportunity to become part of our future network.

Who we want to hear from

  • We are particularly interested in hearing from:

  • GRP laminators

  • GRP finishers

  • Experienced composite professionals

  • Motivated trainees

  • Self-employed contractors

  • Composite businesses and specialist subcontractors

These are not the only skills we value. If you believe your experience, attitude or services could benefit our company, we welcome your CV or introduction.

Opportunities for trainees

Previous composites experience is not always essential. We welcome applications from practical, motivated people who are serious about developing professional GRP skills.

Our fast-track training approach rewards progress. As your skills, quality and output improve and you consistently achieve agreed targets there may be opportunities to progress to higher rates and more advanced work.

We will work with each individual to support their development. In return, we expect commitment, consistency, attention to detail and a genuine desire to meet professional manufacturing standards.

Opportunities for experienced contractors

When additional production capacity is required, we may offer self-employed contractors project-based work. Depending on the project, payment may be agreed per completed part, for a defined quantity of work or at another agreed rate.

We value quality, consistency and productive output. Our approach focuses on the standard and quantity of work achieved, not simply the number of hours spent in the workshop.

Full project requirements, quality standards, timescales and rates will be agreed before work begins.

What you can expect from us

Depending on the project and agreement, we can offer:

  • Highly competitive rates

  • Flexible working arrangements within agreed project requirements

  • Additional hours or project work when available

  • Performance and output-based earning opportunities

  • Fast-track practical training

  • Support with individual development

  • The necessary tools and workwear for work undertaken at our facility

  • Experience across professional composite manufacturing projects

We aim to be reasonable and flexible. However, once a working schedule or project deadline has been agreed, we expect reliability and consistency.
